for Centuries Britain has produced some of the best craftsman and designers the World has known. In this time of growing enviromental concern and with our High Streets full of cheap imported goods there are many designers who are fighting back by producing top quality products here on our own shores and often with our concerns for the enviroment in mind.
Buy British - the Brit listfor the one brown cow gift shop we try and source as many of our gift and home products from within the UK. There are two reasons for this, we like to support the best of British design and secondly it is often easier to obtain information on exactly how and where these gifts are made and what kind of eco credentials a company works to, if any. In addition, by sourcing goods designed, manufactured and supplied from within the British Isles, we are not only helping to supporting British industries, we are also helping to reduce our own personal carbon footprint.
Below is our "Brit List" a directory, by product, of our suppliers detailing where their products are designed and manufactured as well as any additional eco infomation we can provide.
